| The course will consist of a 5 km (3 mi) run from Mariner Park
to West Homer Elementary; a 7 km (4 mi) mountain bike ride from
West Homer up West Hill, across Highland and Sprucewood Drives to
the old Trail Head on Roger's Loop; and a 1 km (0 .6 mi) run (carrying
your skis) on the road to the new Trail Head on the Sterling Highway
by the State Maintenance Department. Distances are approximate.
Chief of Course (Dave Brann) reserves the right to change the last
leg if it snows enough to ski. It has been
announced that there will be a 4km skiing leg to the triathalon
this year. Dust of you old skis and bring them out on Sunday.

Teams will consist of three members, or the complete course can
be done by one individual (APRIL FOOL STYLE). An individual can
not be on a team also. An awards ceremony will be held at 3 PM.
Sand dollar medallions will be awarded to the three top teams and
to the top 3 ironmen and ironwomen of each age group. Prizes will
be awarded by draw from waiver slips for all participants who are
present at 3 PM.
Team and individual categories for men and women will be: middle
school grades 7 & 8, high school grades 9-12, young adults to
age 29, adults 30-49, and incredible adults 50 and over. There will
also be an open category for same gender - mixed age group or mixed
gender teams.
Registration will be from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the Gazebo at
Mariner Park, on race day. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per participant,
with a $10.00 late entry fee (after 12 noon). Students will be required
to have a parent or other adult sign their permission slips to participate.
Bicyclists will be required to wear helmets. There will be a REQUIRED
race meeting at 12:30 and the race will start at 1:00.
A Kid's Race for students under 7th grade will happen earlier
on Sunday, only if someone volunteers to coordinate it.
