Fallen and Tangled

Our forest in this condition prohibits machinery harvest which can save the useable wood. The rotted trees have NO value even for fire wood and must be burned (if allowed) or buried in canyons. If left in piles on site they will provide an environment for insects and disease which only magnifies the problem. This condition will not allow animals to move around and use the area. It also covers the ground to the extent where other vegetation will not grow and in our Alaskan cool climate, it will take 100+ years to clean itself up . We are the one who broke the cycle and put our land in this state and now have the obligation to rectify the situation.
