touch me
Tonight
On the outside I crept
Under my smiles.
Cheer
Hid
My
Enemy.
red flashed in front of me
so i turned quickly
and was knocked down
by a blinding blue light.
i turned my tear streaked
face
upward
and saw a sweet, cool shine
of green
and gold.
wiping the blood from my throat
i relaxed
and slept in peace.
Tonight,
to touch you
would be ecstasy in itself,
and love would blossom
in time, of course.
But I already knew you,
and cried.
Paste it
to the window
and draw silver circles
around it.
Pronounce it dead
and kiss it goodbye.
(Don't forget to
Cry your tears,
Paint your face,
Powder your eyes)
Spread green dye
across its fur,
let it fall,
let the earth swallow me.
Set yourself free.
It was swift,
and silent,
crashing through the atmoshpere,
crashing through my soul.
It flickered blue,
coldly,
almost white,
then burnt out,
teasing me,
making me smile,
then cry.
intruding
upon my sadness
sweet sunshine
fell from the sky
and ran brightly
through my soul
it warmed the cold,
brought light to the shadows,
and left a soft glow
of gratitude
in my eyes.
If love and hate
Were poured together
In equal proportions,
Black would still swallow White,
Unhurt.
So spill the love,
Measure the hate,
And at least lighten it
To grey.
Swimming
through a sea of blood
to where the sun is long dead,
I opened my eyes
and saw an eagle dive.
I climbed up on the shore
and waited,
and the eagle came back
with his prey.
he sat on the moon
and ate my torn body
then flew away
to hunt again
upon the sea of someone's twilight.
Hah.
I stated the facts,
Bought the mind,
And stole the soul
Of myself,
Again.
Well then, what's left?
For one thing,
Me.
Hah.
Ants
and Birds & Bees
following
The Man
stay there,
don't move,
it's frightening. (so close)
My torn and bloody hands
groped for yours
to heal them
and found darkness.
Found Nothing;
found clean empty space
surrounding the world
as it sits,
Alone?
in space.
