Abuse0-Survivors1 is a safe support channel on the undernet for Survivors of physical, mental, emotional, sexual, spiritual, and ritual abuse, either as children or adults. Ops are all Survivors, and we are primarily focused on emotional safety, security, and freedom of expression. Support is the beginning.
I am Resetter, a survivor...there is more about me on
my homepage but basically I am just a quiet person with a quiet life in a little town in Alaska...and I have been on the road to healing for many many years. A bit ago our little town joined the technological revolution...and I found irc.
As I bounced around the survivors' channels, I made a lot of friends, but I kept feeling like something was just a little bit wrong...so I started my own, with my own rules...a channel where you can come in and talk, where you can come in and SCREAM if you need to...if you come in and need to talk about triggering subjects...that's what my channel is for..."channel safety" means safety for all, not just those who are happy.
So I registered my own channel...and although we know how to joke and have fun, we also know how to listen. All survivors are welcome...S/O's and others are tolerated for a bit if they need to talk. I have listed a few links below that I have found to be useful and informative reading material...sometimes they even have good suggestions. :o)
