Alaskan Brown (Grizzly) bear
BLACK BEAR SAFARI

The black bear hunting is exceptional, whether it be spring or fall.  Several bears a day are usually spotted.  It has not been uncommon to see over 30 bears per hunt.  Most of the bears spotted are 5' to 5' 1/2   with an average weight of 125 lbs. to 150 lbs.  Patient hunters willing to pass up those smaller bears are normally rewarded with a chance at a trophy measuring out at 6 to 6 1/2 foot.  An exceptionally big bear in our area will measure 7' plus.   During the spring hunts most of the bears are found on or near the beaches and during the fall hunts the bears tend to head for higher elevations.  During the safari we also offer deep sea fishing for halibut, ling cod and other rockfish.  This is a great opportunity to fish areas rarely fished.

                                                          BROWN BEAR SAFARI

Brown bears are plentiful on the West-side of Cook Inlet and provide the hunter with a great opportunity to take a trophy.  An extra big brown bear will measure out at 10 foot plus with big bears being in the 9 foot class.  This safari is for Alaskan residents only unless accompanied by a next-of-kin family member.  The hunts are spring time during even numbered years and fall during off numbered years.  Several bears are spotted throughout a safari giving patient hunters an opportunity at a once-in-a-lifetime trophy.   This safari also offers deep sea fishing for halibut.

                                                               GOAT SAFARI

The lower Kenai Peninsula has produced some of the largest Mountain Goats take in Alaska.  All the goats taken on our safaris have made exceptional mounts.  Horns measuring 9 1/2 to 10" are common with several taken measuring over 10 inches.  We start our hunts October 15th and go into November unless you have a drawing permit allowing for an earlier hunt.  The goats are in their prime during the late fall hunt.. The cool weather produces hides that are heavy with extra long hair.  Often seen during the Goat Safaris are Black bears.  This provides the hunter an opportunity to take two trophies on one hunt.  During the safari you'll have a prime opportunity for sea-duck hunting.  The sea-duck hunting is normally action packed with lots of opportunities to add some collectable ducks to your collection.  Deep see fishing for halibut, lingcod and rockfish available.

                                                              DEER AND/OR ELK SAFARI

Kodiak Islands; shuyak, Raspberry, Afognak and Kodiak Island proper, provide the best Sitka Blacktail deer hunting Alaska has to offer.  Sitka Blacktail deer trophies are as much as a prize as any trophy deer as each deer offiers its own challenges.  Raspberry and Afognak Island Roosevelt elk hunts provide hunter's seeking a challenge, a prime opportunity to fine tune their skills without having to leave the state.  Elk hunts are by drawing permit or registration permit.  Kodiak waters offer outstanding sportfishing opportunities for halibut, king salmon and the chance for an aggressive line ripping salmon shark.  These sharks range in size from 100 plus pounds to over 1000 pounds (not recommended for the light hearted!) Take the opportunity to participate in some of the fastest action duck hunting available.  A prime opportunity to add Harlequins, Old Squaws, Scoters, Buffleheads, Goldeneyes etc. to your collection.  Crabbing and shrimping offered during open seasons.  We recommend you try to combine some of these fabulous opportunities with your big game hunting.

GUIDED ONE DAY WATERFOWL HUNTS

Some of the most beautiful exotic collectable ducks can be found in our hunting areas.  Kachemak Bay is well known for it's outstanding duck and goose hunting.  The most abundant waterfowl in our area, range in variety of Harlequins, Surf Scoters, Oldsquaws, Buffleheads, Goldeneyes, Mallards and Canadian Geese.  Most of the hunting is pass shooting as well as jump shooting for collectable sea-ducks and shooting over decoys for Mallards and Geese.  You're welcome to bring your retriever if you choose or work with the guides well trained dogs.  To add the finishing touches to a full day, pulling a crab pot or shrimp pot can also be offered during open season.
