Soundcard software has allowed any Ham with a PC to connect their rig to the audio input/output of the computer and use new (and "old", like CW and RTTY) digital modes without investing in additional hardware, with the exception of that needed to provide the necessary interconnections.  One easy-connect, easy to use product is the "RigBlaster", manufactured by West Mountain Radio.

Glen, KD5HIO, deserves credit for providing an exceptional, integrated package of digital mode software in his HamScope program, also provided FREE to the ham community. HamScope uses Mako-san's MMTTY RTTY engine for this mode, and provides an exceptionally easy interface, with multiple, customizable "macro" buttons.
