Welcome to Scenes of Kachemak Bay and Fritz Creek, Alaska!

Home of Amateur Radio Station WL7M

Our home in the Alaskan wilderness.......overlooking beautiful Kachemak Bay!

Flowers frame ocean view
Lupine, wild roses and cow parsnip add their grace to my back yard, helping frame the view of the mountains across the bay as seen from the hammock strung between two majestic spruce trees...you can't improve on mother nature's work!

 Momma moose and twins

Momma moose and her twins frequently amble through my property, munching on willows and all things planted in my garden...nature's finest moose treats!

Late winter finds several hundred eagles calling the Spit home, waiting for fish provided to them by "The Eagle Lady".
The Spit, a projection of land about five miles long that juts into the ocean, becomes home to "Spit Rats", campers who make this their home for all or part of the summer.
Homer boat harbor The Homer boat harbor provides shelter for a large fleet of commercial and private boats, and the occasional float plane.
Single engine Otter takes off

A beautiful single engine Otter, an Alaskan workhorse, takes off from Beluga Lake.

Miles of pristine beaches await the hiker's exploration, or, for those seeking solitude, serenity and introspection, provide that which only the ocean can bring.

Summer views from the deck...give way to winter snows that sustain the glaciers cross the bay...

Aurora creates spectacular displays

The aurora creates spectacular displays, most often when you are asleep...neighbors call each other to tell them of the appearance of the northern lights, even at 2:00 AM...and still remain close friends!
