Breeding Bird Survey - Kachemak

The Breeding Bird Survey is conducted in conjunction with a program to monitor songbird populations across the hemisphere. For details and data see their website.

Starts in Homer near the hospital, down Main St. to the Bypass, out Kachemak Drive to East Rd., and continuing east to mile 21 (bus turnaround).

Note: The following frequencies are for species seen or heard during the actual survey and do not necessarily reflect their population statuses during more normal birding efforts.
