Cliff House

The river is a busy hiway.
I got to know some of the regulars. One of them an avid fly-fisherman. A catch and release man.
    Notice the hole in the bird-house. For the last two years a squirrel has been gnawing at the edges. This year he finally enlarged it enough to crawl through, much to the dismay of the black-bird residing there. The bird kept him away for quite awhile but the squirrel got inside.

Persistance Personified
He lay with his head out eating the eggs and throwing the shells outside while the bird sat on the roof and watched.

I imagine the squirrels rear end is getting pecked severely.
The bird decides to go in and they get stuck in the hole. Bird regains possession.
