Fees:
Our fee for the 2001 season is$175.00 per person which includes local sales tax. We accept cash,checks, and the following chargecards -

JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS,DISCOVER/NOVUS, MASTERCARD, VISA


Reservations andDeposit:
We request reservations be madewell ahead of time due to its extreme popularity and our shortseason. When you have decided on what date and how many people willbe going look at our CharterAvailability Calendar tosee if we have the number of seats needed, then E-Mail or call us at(907) 235-7014 and we will place you on our calendar. We require adeposit of 50% of the total charter fee, and upon receiving it, wewill send you a confirmation and directions to our boat in the HomerSmall Boat Harbor. We will collect any balance due on the day of thecharter at the boat. 


Larger than six person partiescan be accommodated through business associates with like vessels andservices.


CancellationPolicy:
If you must cancel your fishingtrip with us we offer a full refund of funds received if you cancelat least 14 days prior to your scheduled date. If you cannot give usnotice of more than 13 days we will retain 10% of the total charterfee. If A-WARD CHARTERS must cancel your fishing trip due to weatheror other situations beyond our control we will gladly make otherarrangements or refund all funds received.


2000 Alaska Sportfishing LicenseFees

Fishing Licenses are NOT needed by eitherresidents or non-residents of Alaska under 16 years. The 2001 dailybag limit is still 2 halibut of any size.

Our favorite Halibut recipe

A-WARDS' ALASKAN HALIBUTSUPREME

SERVES 6 (or 2 ALASKANS)

BUTCHER 1 LIVE WHOLE DUNGENESS CRAB, Breakout of shell and remove viscera, cook legs and body meat 10-15minutes in boiling water, let cool and remove meat. Canned crab meator a package of the artificial crab product or even canned shrimpmake good substitutions or variations to this. COMBINE above crabmeat with 1 cup each of two of the following choices, Sour Cream,Plain Yorgurt, or Mayonaise creating a paste like mixture. Add 1tablespoon Lemon Juice, 1 Tablespoon Lemon Pepper, Some ParsleyFlakes and a little Dill seed and some chopped Mushrooms to thepaste. PREPARE a 2 to 3 pound HALIBUT roast (1-11/2 inch thick) byplacing it in a baking dish and cutting deep slices with the grain3/4 inches apart throughout the roast. Stuff the paste mixture intothe slices and paste the roast all over with the remaining mixture.Grate Chedder cheese over the entire dish as desired (approximately1-11/2 cups). Cover dish for baking. BAKE in oven at approximately375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
