Alaska Growers has been growing cold-hardy trees in Homer since 1995. In 1997, we opened operations on 10 acres of rich agricultural land in Homer. Today, Alaska Growers has the largest selection of trees in Homer.
In addition to our great selection, our trees are top quality. Every tree WE plant has a full one-year guarantee. Our vision is to supply Homer with nice-sized trees, Alaska-hardy, at a reasonable price.
Our trees range from 3' to 20', up to 3" in diameter. We grow evergreens as well as deciduous. Trees are sold in easy to handle nursery pots, ball and burlap (B&B), and on occasion, bare root.
Our B&B trees are dug using a state-of-the-art hydraulic tree spade. The spade is capable of digging trees up to 3" in diameter and 20' in height. Machine-dug trees are known for their quality root ball whereby the trees have minimal root loss.
