OSCAR 40 (AO40) 2.4 GHz Antenna
 This front picture of the antenna shows the details on mounting the patch feed and downconverter.  Note that the dish antenna is mounted upside down to allow aiming at the horizon.  There is a 22.5 degree offset built in to most surplus satellite TV antennas.

This picture shows the general layout for the back of the antenna, including the mounting details for the aluminum brackets, the old 18 inch DirecTV house mounting bracket that now holds the dish to the mast, and the counterbalance weights to ease the load on the antenna rotor and help keep the dish vertical.
